For a while
It reminded me of a time
When I was
Trapped inside this hurricane
T5 type one
These last months
Held a sad and rough goodbye
Then you're lost
Then you're ill inside your mind
But medicated
Hold me in my bed at night
Just say whatever comes to mind
We're still misfits but we're aging
Later on
I had this dream that now is gone
Woke up scared
I was advised to just forget
I took a longer run
In my shame
I just beg you to forgive
When I'm lost
Trapped inside this hurricane
And I'm intoxicated

The Blank
04:12
|

In my memory
Why is it all invisible
Why is it all so dense
Why is it all mysterious
I can't remember a thing
In my conscience
Everything is clear
Everything is alright
I think I haven't done a thing
I can't remember last night
When you give me the evil eye
I try to make up an alibi
And I don't even know what my crime is
But I'll take all the blame
It's not true
They just can't prove
I did not do what I don't remember

Learning How
03:40
|

In my place I find it all remote
I’ve tried to gather everything I love
Learning how to control what you feel
Knowing time will show it’s face to heal
Tricky routes along the drive for days
The tide is high but these are well-known ways

The Face on the Road
02:47
|
|||
Somebody's fallen on the road
I hear the name he's calling
I don't know who or what it is
So I just stare
As I come over walking slowly
I see his face ain't normal
I take a knee beside him and
I say "Hey, man...
Are you ok?
Well can you walk?
What is that weird expression
or your face?"

High Hopes

Looking for a narrow escape
He starts to sense the cloudy morning
Going through another day
Shining shoes and, hopeless, dreaming
She feels she’ll never feel the same
Those better times are always at heart
Nobody is calling out her name
Stoned and smiling, empty inside out
Deary, your kids are all ok
Fearing high hopes from yesterday
It’s never late, again
Let’s go another round
We are old for this
Young to back out
They said you would be one out five
Your clothes are sweat and we’re still waiting
Last hit just got you on the ropes
There’s a ticking clock and we can hear it
She is looking through a locker room
Looking through forgotten feelings
Laughing at the silly jokes
There's not any sense of belonging
